About this role:

  • Develop a comprehensive test strategy and plan to ensure thorough coverage of testing.
  • Work closely with the development team to analyze requirements, design test cases, and prepare test data.
  • Execute test cases using JCL and analyze results to identify issues.
  • Collaborate with the support team to report and resolve defects.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of experience in testing lifecycle processes.
  • Strong knowledge of editing JCL and creating JCL to submit test batch jobs.
  • Familiarity with TSO/ISPF commands in Mainframe.
  • Ability to analyze logs in Spool for abended jobs and provide root cause analysis.
  • Experience working with IT developers to analyze COBOL programs and identify input/output files.
  • Ability to edit Mainframe files using layouts/copybooks using Fileaid.
  • Verification of database in DB2 or output files to verify outputs.
  • Preparation of test data according to test requirements.
