Infrastructure Engineer

We're seeking a Senior Platform/Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure team at Check Point Harmony SASE. You'll be instrumental in deploying, maintaining, and scaling our rapidly expanding global infrastructure that powers our SASE platform across multiple cloud providers (VulTR, Linode, UpCloud, Digital Ocean), Proxmox-based data centers, and bare metal colocation facilities worldwide.

You'll work on complex production challenges spanning hybrid and multi-cloud environments, building infrastructure automation at massive scale, troubleshooting sophisticated issues across network, virtualization, Kubernetes, and hardware layers, and developing tools that enable our infrastructure to scale with minimal operational overhead.

Key Responsibilities

Your Impact & Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize global infrastructure across VulTR, Linode, UpCloud, Digital Ocean, and on-premises data centers
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) that deploys, scales, configures, and updates infrastructure components including cloud resources, Proxmox VE clusters, Kubernetes clusters, storage systems, network equipment, and firewalls
• Develop automation tools and platforms that enable massive infrastructure scaling with minimal operational overhead across multiple cloud providers and bare metal environments
• Monitor infrastructure performance across distributed multi-cloud environments, identify bottlenecks or connectivity issues, and implement solutions
• Debug complex production issues across virtualization, containerization, networking, and hardware layers in both production and lab environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Development) to ensure infrastructure security, data integrity, and compliance with industry standards
• Contribute to and maintain infrastructure automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows
• Participate in on-call rotation for mission-critical production systems

Qualifications
Your Knowledge & Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience operating enterprise SaaS network and server infrastructures
• 3+ years of experience with 24x7x365 production systems at scale
• Deep understanding of modern Linux OS architecture, subsystems, and performance tuning
• Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure environments (ISPs, Cloud Providers, or similar high-scale operations)
• Strong hands-on experience with KVM/QEMU, Proxmox VE, and containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Extensive experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD)
• Proficiency in scripting and automation with Bash, Python, or similar languages
• Experience with observability platforms (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana) and IPAM systems (NetBox or similar)
• Deep understanding of high availability patterns: redundancy, failover, load balancing, and disaster recovery
• Experience with multi-cloud architectures and bare metal provisioning is a strong plus
• Familiarity with Kubernetes cluster management, CAPI providers, and GitOps workflows is a plus
