Senior Data Engineer / Senior Data Analyst – Databricks Focus

Role Overview

The Senior Data Engineer / Analyst will design and develop large-scale data pipelines and analytical datasets for the RTRA program. This role combines strong data engineering execution with analytical acumen to deliver accurate, timely, and business-aligned data assets that support workforce forecasting and portfolio planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance ETL pipelines on Databricks and Azure integrating SAP, Salesforce, and JIRA datasets.
• Conduct detailed data profiling, cleansing, and transformation to ensure consistency and integrity.
• Implement re-usable frameworks for data ingestion, transformation, and load automation.
• Collaborate with product analysts to define key metrics and translate business rules into analytical models.
• Design test cases, perform unit tests, and support QA in data validation and reconciliation activities.
• Continuously improve performance and scalability of existing data pipelines.
• Support visualization teams with structured, verified datasets for dashboards and insights.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6–10 years' experience in data engineering or analytics roles in large enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in Databricks, PySpark, and advanced SQL.
• Hands-on experience integrating and transforming data from SAP, Salesforce, and JIRA.
• Strong understanding of ETL automation, data lake architectures, and CI/CD for data workflows.
• Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) for data validation and insight enablement is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate independently in Agile, distributed teams.
• Candidates must have a solid foundation in Data Science
