Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, visualization, and cloud data platforms. The candidate should be proficient in Power BI, Python, SQL, and Azure services such as Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Apache Spark. You will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and interactive reports using Power BI.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to stakeholders across business units.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) using Python and SQL.

2. Data Integration & ETL

  • Build, schedule, and monitor data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Develop ETL workflows for ingesting, cleaning, transforming, and processing data.
  • Work with diverse structured and unstructured data sources (APIs, databases, files, etc.).

3. Cloud Data Engineering Support

  • Use Azure Synapse Analytics for data warehousing, analytics, and SQL-based transformations.
  • Develop and optimize data processing scripts using Apache Spark (PySpark preferred).
  • Collaborate with data engineers to enhance cloud data architecture and performance.

4. Database & SQL Development

  • Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data extraction and analytics.
  • Work with SQL Server databases for reporting, ETL processes, and performance tuning.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and reliability across data platforms.

5. Reporting & Visualization

  • Create visually compelling, interactive dashboards and KPI reports in Power BI.
  • Implement DAX measures, calculated tables, and row-level security (RLS).
  • Optimize dashboards for performance and scalability.

6. Documentation & Collaboration

  • Prepare clear technical documentation for data models, pipelines, and processes.
  • Work closely with data engineers, business analysts, product teams, and leadership.
  • Participate in Agile meetings, sprint planning, and project reviews.

Required Qualifications

MSc. Data Analytics

  • 2+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI (DAX, data modelling, dashboard design).
  • Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark optional).
  • Solid expertise in SQL and experience using SQL Server.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Apache Spark.
  • Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data pipelines, and cloud data workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

  • Experience with Git/GitHub for version control.
  • Knowledge of Azure Databricks or other cloud analytics tools.
  • Exposure to CI/CD workflows for data projects.
  • Experience with Power Automate or similar workflow automation tools.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning workflows.
