Job Description
LI-DNIJob Title: Assistant Manager – Technical Services (Patwari)
Role Overview:
The Assistant Manager – Technical Services (Patwari) will be responsible for managing land records, verifying ownership details, coordinating with government authorities, and supporting the technical team in land acquisition, mutation, and due diligence processes. The role demands strong knowledge of land revenue laws, record management, and field-level coordination to ensure smooth handling of land-related documentation for projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update land records as per revenue department requirements.
- Assist in land acquisition and verification by checking ownership, title deeds, and related legal documents.
- Coordinate with government/revenue offices (Talati, Tehsildar, District authorities, etc.) for land-related approvals, entries, and clearance.
- Support in surveying, demarcation, and mapping of land parcels in coordination with surveyors/technical staff.
- Maintain document repositories and ensure timely availability of land data to legal, liaison, and project teams.
- Provide support in land due diligence, consolidation, and dispute resolution by sharing accurate revenue records.
- Ensure compliance with local land revenue codes, property registration procedures, and mutation rules.
- Liaise with external stakeholders (local patwaris, government clerks, landowners) for ground-level verification and smooth workflow.
- Prepare and maintain MIS reports, trackers, and dashboards for management on land record status.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of land revenue laws, records, and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret land maps, survey numbers, and village records.
- Good liaisoning and coordination skills with government officials and landowners.
- Attention to detail with strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office / Excel for reporting and data management.
- Field mobility and adaptability to handle on-ground verification.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate in any discipline (preferably in Land Management, Rural Development, or related fields).
- 10+ years of experience in land record management / liaisoning / patwari role, preferably in real estate, infrastructure, or land acquisition.
- Familiarity with regional language and local revenue office processes is a must.
