  • Day-to-day responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Conduct catastrophe modeling of property insurance portfolios using industry-standard tools (e.g., RMS, AIR, CoreLogic).
  • Analyze exposure data to identify risk concentrations, accumulations, and diversification opportunities.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and actuarial teams to assess risk on individual accounts and overall portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain risk metrics, dashboards, and portfolio summaries to support management decisions.
  • Support reinsurance placement by providing catastrophe loss estimates, PML (Probable Maximum Loss) and AAL (Average Annual Loss) analyses.
  • Validate and enhance data quality by coordinating with internal teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of exposure data.
  • Assist in scenario testing, event response modeling, and real-time catastrophe monitoring during active events.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, reinsurers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Stay updated on emerging modeling methodologies, regulatory requirements (e.g., NAIC, Florida OIR), and industry best practices.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Data Science, Geography, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-6 years of experience in catastrophe modeling, risk analysis, or reinsurance analytics (insurance or reinsurance sector preferred).
  • Proficiency with RMS RiskLink/One, AIR Touchstone, or CoreLogic modeling platforms.
  • Strong technical skills in SQL, Python, R, or Excel VBA for data analysis and automation.
  • Familiarity with geospatial analysis tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) is a plus.
