Department: Oncology

Experience Required: 2+ years post-DM/DNB Medical Oncology

Job Summary:

The Medical Oncologist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with cancer through chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and other systemic treatments. The role requires close collaboration with surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive cancer care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage all types of cancers using advanced systemic therapies.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in line with latest clinical guidelines.
  • Supervise and administer chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy.
  • Provide supportive and palliative care to improve patients quality of life.
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary tumor boards for treatment planning.
  • Monitor treatment progress, manage complications, and adjust therapies as needed.
  • Guide and counsel patients and families regarding disease, treatment options, and prognosis.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
  • Participate in clinical research, CME programs, and academic initiatives.
  • Mentor junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff in oncology care.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • DM/DNB in Medical Oncology (mandatory).
  • Valid registration with Medical Council of India/State Medical Council.
  • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in a reputed hospital/oncology center.
  • Expertise in systemic therapy protocols, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and palliative care.
  • Strong clinical decision-making and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
