Role Overview:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented professional to join our design team as Assistant Manager Design. The role involves conceptualizing, developing, and refining innovative travel goods that align with market trends and consumer preferences, while ensuring functionality and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Designing

  • Conceptualize and sketch/draft designs for luggage and travel goods.
  • Conduct research on fashion, consumer behavior, and market trends.
  • Present design concepts and reports to the Design Head for approval and feedback.
  • Incorporate modifications as per requirements.

2. Product Development

  • Develop and coordinate the fabrication of models, prototypes, and samples.
  • Prepare working drawings and specification sheets from design sketches.
  • Modify and refine designs to meet specifications, production capabilities, and design trends.
  • Assess feasibility of design ideas considering aesthetics, safety, function, serviceability, budget, production costs/methods, and market demand.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree/Diploma in Industrial Design, Fashion Design, or related field.
  • 47 years of experience in product design (preferably in luggage, consumer goods, or accessories).
  • Strong sketching, CAD, and visualization skills.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and prototyping.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for detail and market trends.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
