Manager-Electrical 220KV

The Manager 220kV Electrical Systems will oversee the design, execution, and commissioning of high voltage 220kV transformer, substation and transmission line projects associated with large-scale BESS and solar power plants. This role ensures technical excellence, compliance with grid codes, timely project delivery, and effective coordination across teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all activities related to the design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of 220kV substations, transformer and transmission lines for solar power projects.
• Review and approve detailed engineering designs, specifications, and drawings of 220kV electrical systems including switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and control panels.
• Ensure compliance with national and international electrical standards (IEC, IS, IEEE) and grid code requirements.
• Coordinate with utilities, regulatory bodies, and clients for necessary approvals, inspections, and interface management.
• Drive project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and budget control for 220kV electrical scope.
• Monitor construction progress, quality assurance, and safety compliance at project sites.
• Lead troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, and energization activities of 220kV systems.
• Mentor and develop engineering and site teams to build technical capability and maintain high-performance standards.
• Collaborate closely with civil, mechanical, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Prepare and present technical reports, project status updates, and risk mitigation plans to senior management and clients.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes affecting high voltage electrical systems in solar EPC projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in high voltage (220kV and above) electrical system design and project management, preferably in solar EPC, power transmission, or utility sectors.
• Strong technical expertise in 220kV substations, switchgear, protection & control systems, transformers, and power system studies.
• Proven experience managing large-scale EPC projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines.
