Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Chess Coach role located in Chennai. The Chess Coach will be responsible for delivering engaging and structured chess lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels. Daily tasks include preparing lesson plans, conducting group and private coaching sessions, analyzing games, mentoring students, and providing constructive feedback through progress reports. The role requires collaboration with the wider coaching team to ensure students achieve their chess goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of chess principles, strategies, and game analysis
  • Proven experience in teaching or coaching students in chess
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Proficiency in using online platforms and digital tools for teaching (preferred)
  • FIDE-rated players or titled players (National Master, FIDE Master, etc.) are highly desirable
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple coaching sessions
  • A passion for chess and a commitment to fostering a love for the game
