Job Summary/About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our growing data engineering team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Python, hands-on experience with modern data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift, and practical knowledge of AWS cloud services. The candidate should also be familiar with at least two additional tools or frameworks from the modern data stack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and Snowflake (or other data warehouses).
  • Work with structured and unstructured data across diverse data sources.
  • Optimize and tune data workflows and transformations for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Leverage AWS services such as Lambda, Batch, Boto3, SQS, and SNS for building and deploying cloud-native data solutions.
  • Integrate and manage workflows using orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster.
  • Implement data quality, lineage, and monitoring solutions to ensure the integrity and reliability of data systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to define and deliver data requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ experience in Snowflake
  • 5-8 years of experience in hard-core Python
  • 5+ Years experience in Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift
  • 3+ Years in AWS ( Lambda, Batch, Boto, SQS, SNS )
  • At least 2 skills out of the following: PySpark, Airflow/DagSter, Kinesis, Data Lineage Tools, Data Quality Tools, ELT

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data deployments.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, warehousing design, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
