A CCTV technician installs, maintains, and repairs closed-circuit television systems, including cameras, DVRs, and NVRs. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, conducting site surveys, running cables, configuring network settings, and providing technical support to clients. Core responsibilities

  • Installation and setup: Mounting cameras, running cables, and setting up digital video recorders (DVRs) or network video recorders (NVRs).
  • Maintenance and repair: Conducting regular inspections, performing necessary repairs, and upgrading existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving technical problems with cameras, software, and related hardware.
  • System configuration: Setting up network settings and programming systems to meet specific security requirements.
  • Site surveys: Assessing security needs for new installations to determine the most effective and appropriate system design.
  • Client support: Providing training to clients on system usage and offering ongoing technical support for both hardware and software issues.
  • Documentation: Recording installation processes, configurations, and maintenance activities for future reference.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Technical knowledge of various CCTV systems, such as analog, digital, dome, and bullet cameras.
  • Ability to work with basic computer systems and network configurations.
  • Understanding of electrical wiring and cable termination.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and industry standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher
