Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented ETL and BI Tester to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of data pipelines and business intelligence reports. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in validating data transformations, data quality, and reporting dashboards across various BI tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand business requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test cases.
  • Perform ETL testing to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Conduct data validation and reconciliation between source and target systems.
  • Test BI reports and dashboards for data accuracy, layout, and performance.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to resolve issues.
  • Automate test cases where applicable using SQL or testing tools.
  • Participate in test planning, execution, and reporting.

Required Skills:

  • Strong SQL skills for data validation and test automation.
  • Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS).
  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, QlikView).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for test automation.
