Executive - Purchase

Role & responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, equipment, and services from approved suppliers.
• Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Evaluate vendor quotes and make recommendations based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities.
• Maintain and update the approved supplier list and procurement records.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse/production to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Assist in cost reduction initiatives by identifying new vendors or alternative materials.
• Handle invoice discrepancies, coordinate with the finance team for timely payments, and resolve supplier disputes.
• Prepare regular reports on purchase activity, delivery timelines, and supplier performance.
• Stay updated on market trends and price fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in Auto component industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP or procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, Zoho).
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail with the ability to work independently under pressure.
