Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to establish and manage the complete finance function for our growing technology-driven business. This role involves maintaining accurate books of accounts, ensuring compliance (including GSTR 8 for e-commerce operations), reconciling multi-channel revenues, and providing management with timely financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

 Set up and maintain books of accounts in cloud-based accounting software.

 Record all business transactions, including subscription fees, ticket sales, merchandise, refunds, and platform charges.

 Prepare monthly financial statements — P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.

2. Compliance & Taxation

 File GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and GSTR-8 (E-commerce Operator).

 Manage TDS deductions, challans, and quarterly filings.

 Coordinate with auditors and consultants for statutory audits and annual filings.

3. Reconciliation & Reporting

 Perform monthly bank and payment gateway reconciliations (Razorpay, UPI, Cards).

 Reconcile organiser payouts, refunds, and discounts.

 Generate MIS reports and highlight key financial variances.

4. Payables & Receivables

 Process vendor invoices and schedule payments.

 Maintain receivable ageing and follow up for collections.

 Ensure documentation and approval compliance for all expenses.

5. Process Implementation

 Design and implement SOPs for expense tracking and approval workflows.

 Assist in budgeting, cost monitoring, and variance analysis.

 Maintain a transparent audit trail of all transactions.

Qualifications

 Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (CA Inter preferred).

 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience (startup or e-commerce background preferred).

 Strong knowledge of GST, GSTR-8 compliance, and TDS.

 Proficiency in Zoho Books or Tally, and Excel/Google Sheets.

Key Skills

 Strong understanding of Indian tax and compliance frameworks.

 Excellent reconciliation and analytical abilities.

 Process-driven, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.

 Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

 Effective communication and coordination skills.
