Job Summary:

A Landscape Architect is responsible for planning, designing, and managing outdoor spaces to enhance aesthetics, functionality, sustainability, and harmony with the environment. Key Responsibilities

  1. Design & Planning

  4. Integrate sustainable and climate-responsive design principles.

  5. Project Coordination

  7. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and horticulturists to ensure project quality.

  8. Review and approve material samples and plant selections.

  9. Documentation & Technical Drawings

  10. Create detailed drawings using CAD, BIM, and GIS software.

  11. Prepare BOQs (Bills of Quantities), cost estimates, and technical specifications.

  12. Ensure compliance with local regulations, zoning laws, and environmental standards.

  13. Site Management

  16. Address on-site challenges and provide design revisions when necessary.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong design sense with creativity and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, GIS tools.
  • Knowledge of horticulture, soil science, and irrigation systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelors or Masters in Landscape Architecture (BLA / MLA) from a recognized institution.
  • Licensure or registration with relevant professional bodies (where applicable).

Work Environment

  • Office-based design work with regular site visits.
  • Interaction with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
  • Projects may range from small gardens to large urban development plans.
