Role & responsibilities

  • Analyze large volumes of financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and key insights.
  • Prepare and maintain MIS reports, dashboards, and trackers tailored to various business requirements.
  • Develop, optimize, and automate Excel-based tools and templates for internal teams to streamline reporting processes.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, IF statements, and nested formulas for accurate and efficient reporting.
  • Apply conditional formatting, data validation, and Excel shortcuts to improve report readability and productivity.
  • Automate recurring and routine reporting tasks using advanced Excel techniques and logic.
  • Extract, clean, and manipulate data using basic SQL queries (e.g., SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, WHERE) to support reporting needs.
  • Ensure high levels of data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across all reports and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and provide actionable data insights.
  • Support business decision-making through timely and relevant data-driven reports and performance analysis.
  • Maintain documentation for reporting processes, templates, and automation logic for internal reference.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in reporting and analytics, especially in the NBFC or financial services domain.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 13 years of experience in MIS reporting or data analysis
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, formulas)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, WHERE)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Experience in NBFC or financial domain preferred
  • Ability to deliver timely and actionable reports
