Key Responsibilities

  1. End-to-end design and development activities.
  2. Create and update 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using Solid Edge and AutoCAD.
  3. Prepare detailed 2D layouts, assemblies, and part drawings.
  4. Generate and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) in ERP and PLM systems.
  5. Handle Engineering Change Notice (ECN) activities and revision control.
  6. Perform basic mechanical engineering hand calculations for design validation.
  7. Apply GD&T principles in drawings as per design requirements.
  8. Ensure focus on form, fit, and function of parts and assemblies, including integration and packaging.
  9. Select bought-out components based on mechanical engineering fundamentals.
  10. Maintain and prepare technical documentation related to design activities.
  11. Ensure compliance with manufacturing processes, quality systems, and QMS standards.
  12. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing and implementation.
  13. Adhere to timelines and complete activities assigned by the Team Lead.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong exposure to CAD modelling and 2D drafting.
  • Experience in BOM creation, ECN handling, and revision control.
  • Awareness of QMS, ERP, and PLM systems.
  • Analytical mindset to evaluate design effectiveness and feasibility.
  • Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
  • Proactive CAN-DO attitude with a continuous learning mindset.

Software Knowledge required:
