Oracle JDE Sales & Distribution - Functional Consultant   Job description:
  • Ensuring client requirements are met by actively soliciting, identifying, and responding to customer questions and assisting with issue resolution which may involve one or more of the following: 
  • Providing users with workarounds 
  • Troubleshooting or debugging with developers 
  • Proposing SQL fixes to database tables 
  • Identifying ESUs or liaising with Oracle for bug fixes 
  • Follow Managed Services consulting methods and processes 
  • Working collaboratively and build relationships with other consultants, customer staff, and third-party consultants 
  • Identification and resolution of JDE system errors 
  • Update and maintenance of JDE configuration 
  • Guidance to users to follow correct JDE procedures 
  • Proactive and reactive maintenance of JDE systems from a Functional perspective 
  • Project specification and testing of new customised JDE applications or modifications to existing JDE applications 
  • Consultants should be comfortable working with highly knowledgeable JD Edwards end-users and able to quickly understand unique client requirements and configurations 
  • Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum of 8 years in supporting or implementing Sales / Distribution and Inventory modules 
  • Exposure to multiple versions of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (XE, 8.0, 8.10, 8.11, 8.12, 9.0, 9.1, 9.2). 
  • Good understanding of business concepts & strong analytical & problem-solving skills 
  • Good communication (written and oral-in English) and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to learn new functionality and customer customizations 
  • Candidate must ensure compliance with data protection legislation under the DPA, EU GDPR, and any other applicable data protection legislation 
  • Extensive experience in JDE EnterpriseOne Sales & Distribution module. 
  • Experience in application maintenance support to build JD Edwards Functional track which includes Sales, Procurement, Inventory and Manufacturing. 
  • Taken point of contact (POC) role which involves interaction with the key users on their queries and solving the issues on the critical situation. 
  • Experienced in communicating with people at various levels and departments of business including end-user community across multiple global locations. 
  • Functional specs preparation, analyzing the client's requirement, solving day to day issues, making developer understand the functional specifications . 
  • Experience of working in various teams and clients both at on-shore and off-shore locations. 
  • Responsible to understand the business processes of the customer and map the same to the JDE product and give a satisfactory solution to the client. 
  • Work with users to identify and redefine of the processes and propose a solution. 
  • Interact with Business users throughout the lifecycle of the support call from initiation till closure. 
  • To prepare Functional design documents for Reports, Applications and interfaces. 
  • Create Functional Design Specifications for customization. 
  • To prepare the test script and testing of the system. 
  • Basic to Intermediate level of SQL. 
  • Work with users to identify and redefine of the processes and propose a solution. Should be involved in the upgradation activities. 
  • Test data preparation & Cutover support. 
    Develop functional specifications, data models, perform Fit-Gap analysis by utilizing strong understanding of the JD Edwards technical development elements (FDA, RDA, Event Rules, NER, BSFNs, BSSV, RTE), Reports Now, Showcase query; Configure distribution, manufacturing, and planning solutions; Integrate JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP with external systems such as Product Life Cycle Management systems, E-Commerce systems, external ERPs, Transportation systems, warehousing management systems & EDI systems; Perform functional unit testing, system integration testing, and conduct user acceptance testing using Power BI, ScrumMaster framework, Agile; Develop user security, segregation of duties, user profiles, and a security matrix.    MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Strong history of successful Implementations and/or Upgrades of JD Edwards module inventory, Distribution, EDI, Sales Order Management, Procurement, and Advanced Planning 
  • Able to plan/determine/troubleshoot planning issues, supply demand, pegging of MRP, DRP 
  • Ability to document current business processes and reduce inefficiencies using native JDE configurations 
  • Highly skilled and comfortable in leading design sessions to optimize business processes using best practice JDE functionality 
  • Listen to client requirements and translate into actionable tasks that are scoped, prioritized, worked on, and delivered within the agreed upon timeline 
  • Be an effective communicator with both client and internal teams, ability to get the point across while listening to other opinions 
  • Propose solution improvements when deficiencies are uncovered  
  • When necessary, design custom applications and enhancements 
  • Create and Modify test scripts 
  • Test the system and provide support to business users testing effort 
  • Lead support during go-live 
  • Strong debugging and SQL skills 
  • Professional demeanor and presence 
  • Experience designing and managing integration to third-party applications 
  • Competency with BI Publisher, Orchestrator, UX1, OneView / Watchlists, EOne pages 
  • Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.x 
  • Assist sales team as needed

  • Provide broad level of support for managed services clients, including, sales order processing, Configurator, inventory, purchasing, advance pricing, JDE Preferences, Warehouse Management (WMS), Transportation Management, Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP), scheduling, EDI, interoperability processes 
  • Leverage support knowledge to create process improvement opportunities 
  • Build relationships with clients for lasting partnerships
