The Opportunity

Planview is looking for a Director, Product Management who is passionate about creating deep product and business impact and building high-performance teams.

The Director Product Management role will be leading product & business outcomes for one or more SaaS products. This includes identifying, crafting, executing partnerships and desired interventions. You will own business KPIs while managing the entire product lifecycle and collaborating closely with finance, customer success, product development teams globally to drive retention, growth, and customer success. You will also lead, coach and inspire a team of product managers cultivating an outcome-focused, continuous learning culture.

  • Communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders, including development, customers, prospect-facing interactions during sales cycles, and key industry analysts

What You'll Do

  • In-line with organizational vision, lead the product strategy for one or more enterprise portfolio management SaaS and AI products that drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence for global enterprises.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle to maximize long-term growth and enterprise customer value.
  • Lead business case development, multi-release roadmaps, prioritization, and go-to-market strategies driven by deep understanding of the installed base
  • Partner with Finance and GTM teams to forecast and track growth, retention and customer satisfaction.
  • Use data-driven insights to make portfolio investment and divestment decisions across product lifecycle stages.
  • Design interventions to improve product retention, adoption, and expansion within key customer cohorts.

  • Develop data-driven retention and expansion programs in partnership with Customer Success and Field teams to reduce churn and increase product adoption across large and complex enterprise accounts.

  • Leverage AI capabilities to enhance product differentiation, customer outcomes, and operational efficiency, ensuring continuous innovation aligned with market dynamics and organizational strategy.
  • Lead complex initiatives across products, organizations and distributed teams
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team
  • Cultivate a results-focused and collaborative culture emphasizing innovation, customer-centricity, and operational rigor aligned with corporate OKRs.

  • Build trusted advisor relationships with strategic enterprise clients and stakeholders to understand their evolving needs and align product development accordingly.

What You'll Bring

We are looking for someone who has:

  • 10–15 years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles within SaaS or AI-driven businesses.
  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end product lifecycle and achieving measurable business outcomes (growth, retention, utilization).
  • Strong financial acumen and data-driven SaaS, usage, customer metrics
  • Experience leading global teams and collaborating across distributed product, engineering, and go-to-market functions.
  • Deep understanding of customer success and retention strategies within enterprise SaaS environments.
  • Excellent executive communication skills and the ability to influence strategy across cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills with executive presence, able to influence stakeholders at C-level and across functions.
  • Preferred

  • Experience with Strategic Portfolio Management, Project Management, Work Management products & customer needs

  • Experience with AI-products and solutions
  • Background in enterprise SaaS solutions serving global customer bases.

You might succeed within this role if you:

  • Have proven expertise leading products through their lifecycle and across lifecycle stages
  • Have independently managed product P&L or business centric KPIs leading to customer success and amplified business outcomes
  • Have successfully managed global, enterprise SaaS and AI products
  • Have a keen eye connecting strategy with execution—across company and product strategy—and led short to long term roadmaps
  • Are adept working across customers, sales, development, consulting and marketing to find generalized solutions to varying needs and tailoring interventions working with customer success, support, PS, marketing organizations
  • Love collaborating with customers to drive customer satisfaction and retention
  • Have high agency and bias for action in driving clarity through ambiguity, alignment and trusted partnerships
  • Have hired, managed and coached team members to build high performing teams
  • Have demonstrated ability to make decisions with imperfect information while understanding the trade-offs of those decisions
  • Strong organizational and people skills and can influence without direct authority
  • Have an ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced work environment
