Qualification: B. Com / B.E / MBA (Operations / SCM / Finance preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all commercial operations including procurement, contracts, inventory, and vendor management for integrated plant operations.
  • Drive cost optimization by analyzing and renegotiating contracts, vendor terms, and operational costs.
  • Oversee procurement of capital goods, services, and raw materials (iron ore, coal, ferro alloys, etc.) required for plant operations.
  • Prepare and present MIS reports, budgeting, cost tracking, and variance analysis for senior management.
  • Manage project procurement for new installations like power plants, beneficiation units, rolling mills, etc.
  • Coordinate end-to-end logistics, including inbound and outbound material movement via rail and road.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and optimal stock levels for spares, lubricants, consumables, and production inputs.
  • Maintain healthy vendor relationships while ensuring compliance with internal and statutory audit requirements.
  • Lead disposal and sale of waste materials (e.g., slag, fly ash) in line with environmental norms.
  • Handle accounts payable, billing, reconciliation, and commercial documentation.
  • Liaise with government authorities, stakeholders, and project teams for approvals and execution.

  • Contracts Management (including project contracts worth 100 Cr+)
  • Costing, Budgeting & MIS
  • Production Planning & Inventory Control (PPC)
  • Vendor Development & Negotiation
  • Supply Chain Management (SCM)
  • Project Coordination (Greenfield/Brownfield)
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, Excel, ERP tools

Preferred Background:

  • Candidates from integrated steel plants / mining / power plants preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in commercial leadership roles with cost reduction track record.
  • Familiar with raw materials, utility services, and capital projects in heavy industry setup.
