Position Summary

Level: Consultant

As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.

Work you'll do:

Apply industry knowledge to requirements gathering and analysis, ensuring alignment with sector needs. Demonstrate expertise across the entire software development lifecycle, from design and coding to deployment and defect resolution, collaborating with stakeholders for effective delivery. Conduct peer and team reviews to maintain quality standards. Actively engage in Agile practices, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and effort estimation. Build and share business process knowledge, supporting project knowledge management and team training. Proactively recommend process improvements, track efficiency gains, and contribute to automation and innovation, all aimed at enhancing project outcomes and delivering greater value to clients.

• PaaS Services Management: Set up, configure, and monitor Oracle PaaS Services (OIC, Autonomous Database, ODI, FDI, etc.).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain automation for resource provisioning, management, and scaling using modular Terraform scripts.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor PaaS services, implement backups, patching, and security updates. Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency.
• Logging Configuration: Configure OCI logging services, implement log retention policies, and manage logs.
• SEAM (Security Event and Management): Configure and manage security/operational events, integrate with SIEM tools.
• Disaster Recovery: Design and implement DR strategies, configure failover mechanisms, and conduct DR drills.
• Collaboration: Work with Integration teams to ensure seamless integration and troubleshoot PaaS service issues.
• Documentation: Create detailed documentation for PaaS deployments and configurations (including DR playbooks).
• Build and Operate Infrastructure: Specify technology (cloud or on-premises).
• Automation: Build and operate automations (specify tool or scripting platform).
• Shared Responsibility Model: Understand and implement for On-premises, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• ITIL Framework Implementation: Incidents, changes, requests, etc.
• Requirement Analysis: Work with Architects, SMEs, Clients, Application teams.
• Monitoring, Backup, Patching, Vulnerability Remediation
• Troubleshooting: Address technology-specific issues.
• Identity and Access Management
• Automation: Identify, analyze, and automate routine tasks.
• SLA, SLO, SOW Understanding
• Cross-Team Coordination: Serve requests or resolve incidents.
• High Availability, Update Management, DR, Backup/Restore Implementation
• Reporting: Documentation, deck preparation, KB article updates.
• Training: Knowledge transfer to junior resources.
• On-Call Support: Handover and rotational weekend support.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

• 3 - 6 years of hands-on experience in OCI PaaS Administration (OIC, Autonomous Database, ODI, FAW, IaC, OCI logging/monitoring).
• Understanding of 2-tier, 3-tier, or multi-tier architecture.
• Experience managing Data Center components.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud technologies (specify).
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (specify).
• Experience with monitoring tools (specify).
• Experience with scripting/programming tools (specify).
• Associate/Professional level certification (specify technology).
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility and innovation across business domains.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

• Understanding of application/infrastructure monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of end-to-end infrastructure landscapes.
• Experience with virtualization platforms.
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (specify).
• Knowledge of on-premises and cloud technologies (specify).
• Knowledge of scripting/programming tools (specify).

Education:

• B.E./B. Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
