Job Title: QA Lead / Quality Assurance LeadJob Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to manage and enhance our software testing processes. The QA Lead will be responsible for leading a team of QA engineers, designing test strategies, ensuring product quality, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software releases.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and guide a team of QA engineers (manual + automation).
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage QA activities across multiple projects.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

Test Strategy & Planning

  • Define and implement QA processes, best practices, and quality standards.
  • Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
  • Estimate QA efforts and manage testing timelines.

Execution & Delivery

  • Oversee functional, regression, integration, API, performance, and usability testing.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery by conducting test reviews and defect analysis.
  • Coordinate with product, development, DevOps, and business teams.
  • Track key QA metrics like defect density, test coverage, escape rates, etc.

Automation (If automation-focused)

  • Identify opportunities for test automation and improve automation coverage.
  • Work with automation engineers to build frameworks and reusable test suites.
  • Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.

Quality Governance

  • Ensure compliance with SDLC, STLC, and release management processes.
  • Advocate for quality throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Drive root cause analysis and continuous process improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in QA, including 2–4 years in a lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured).
  • Good understanding of Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
