Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to oversee procurement operations for our event projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, and managing inventory specific to the fast-paced and dynamic needs of the event industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and negotiate with vendors for event-related materials, equipment, and services (e.g., staging, lighting, décor, catering).
- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor database with competitive pricing and quality benchmarks.
- Coordinate with event planners and production teams to forecast procurement needs.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to meet event timelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock for recurring event assets.
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Evaluate supplier performance and resolve any supply-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and budget constraints.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the event or hospitality industry.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Traits:
- Familiarity with local and national event suppliers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A keen eye for cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹17, ₹70,552.22 per month
