About The Role

You will be instrumental in managing our mission-critical platform, which combines established enterprise technologies with a new microservices architecture. This role requires a strong understanding of both foundational Java EE components and modern Spring Boot practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Maintenance & Enhancement:
     Maintain, debug, and enhance features within our existing core Java platform built on legacy technologies.
  • Modernization:
     Participate in the strategic migration and integration of legacy components into a microservices architecture using Spring Boot.
  • Full-Stack Development (Java Ecosystem):
     Develop and implement new features across the full stack, including front-end presentation layers and back-end business logic.
  • Database Management:
     Design, optimize, and manage complex queries and schemas using Oracle databases.
  • System Integration:
     Work with distributed system components, ensuring seamless communication between applications using technologies like RMI.
  • Code Quality & Best Practices:
     Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while performing code reviews and mentoring junior developers.

Required Technical Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate must have approximately 
5+ years of professional experience
 working across the following technologies:

1. Core Java & Legacy Expertise (Mandatory)

  • Proven experience with 
    JSP (JavaServer Pages)
     and 
    Servlets
     for web application development.
  • Deep understanding of 
    Java EE (Enterprise Edition)
     components, specifically 
    EJB (Enterprise JavaBeans)
    .
  • Experience with the 
    Struts framework
     (version 1 or 2) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with 
    RMI (Remote Method Invocation)
     for distributed computing.

2. Modern & Microservices Stack

  • Strong hands-on experience developing 
    Microservices
     using 
    Spring Boot
    .
  • Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and understanding API design principles.

3. Database

  • Extensive experience with 
    Oracle Database
     including complex SQL query writing, stored procedures, and performance tuning.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience:
     Approximately 
    5 years
     of progressive experience in Java/J2EE development.
  • Location:
     Must be located in or willing to relocate to 
    Ahmedabad, India
    .
  • Communication:
     
    Excellent communication skills
     (written and verbal) are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and technical stakeholders.
  • Mindset:
