Role Description

Junior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Engineer to support the design, analysis, and execution of mechanical systems and skids for fluid handling and process applications. The ideal candidate will contribute to cross-functional engineering efforts, collaborating with instrumentation, documentation, and quality teams, while gaining exposure to customer-facing interactions and vendor coordination.

Location: On-Site, No Work-From-Home

Office Hours: 6 days a week, 9.00 am to 6.00 pm

Key Responsibilities


• Create and modify 3D models and engineering drawings using Creo Parametric


• Perform analytical calculations related to fluid dynamics, pressure drops, and flow rates


• Assist in pump selection, piping layout, and component sizing for process skids


• Support mechanical skid design, including frame layout, equipment placement, and accessibility planning


• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs), fabrication drawings, and assembly documentation


• Collaborate with instrumentation engineers to integrate sensors, valves, and control elements


• Coordinate with vendors for component specifications, lead times, and manufacturability feedback


• Participate in customer visits, technical reviews, and on-site support as needed


• Work closely with documentation leads to ensure alignment with project deliverables and compliance standards


• Interface with quality teams to support inspections, testing, and validation activities


• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in design, documentation, and manufacturing workflows

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field


• Proficiency in Creo 3D modeling and engineering drawing standards


• Strong foundation in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and mechanical design principles


• Basic understanding of pump types, selection criteria, and performance curves


• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, tolerances, and material selection


• Effective communication and collaboration skills across engineering and customer-facing teams


• Willingness to travel for customer visits, vendor audits, or site support

Preferred Skills


• Exposure to ASME, ISO, or cGMP standards in regulated environments


• Experience with FEA, tolerance stack-up, or piping stress analysis


• Internship or project experience in process equipment, biotech skids, or OEM systems


• Interest in automation, instrumentation, and cross-disciplinary engineering
