Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and self-driven Sourcing & Procurement Specialist to lead vendor development and procurement strategy for our growing contract manufacturing business. This role requires a professional who can independently identify, qualify, and manage suppliers across India, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure timely availability of both electronic and non-electronic materials.

The ideal candidate is not just an operational buyer but a strategic procurement leader who can optimize costs, quality, and supply chain resilience with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy for diverse categories (electronic & non-electronic).
  • Identify, evaluate, and establish partnerships with reliable suppliers and manufacturers across India.
  • Negotiate and secure best-in-class pricing, payment terms, lead times, and quality standards.
  • Drive low MOQ procurement solutions without compromising quality or timelines.
  • Ensure sample sourcing, vendor trials, and qualification processes are handled seamlessly.
  • Maintain vendor scorecards and continuously improve supplier performance.
  • Monitor industry trends, alternative suppliers, and risk factors to ensure supply chain stability.
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality, and design teams to forecast material needs.
  • Independently manage procurement without spoon-feeding take ownership of results.

High-Level Requirements

  • Proven track record (5+ years) in sourcing/procurement/supply chain within manufacturing, preferably in electronics or contract manufacturing.
  • Strong network of suppliers and deep market intelligence across India.
  • Exceptional negotiation, cost optimization, and vendor management expertise.
  • Ability to handle multi-category procurement (electronics, mechanical parts, consumables, packaging, etc.).
  • Strategic thinker with execution excellence can operate independently with minimal guidance.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within India for vendor identification, audits, and negotiations.
  • Strong documentation, compliance, and ERP-based procurement process knowledge is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in contract manufacturing / electronics assembly industries.
  • Hands-on exposure to cost analysis, risk assessment, and supplier contracts.
