The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across the organization. Your primary goal will be to increase our organization's productivity, efficiency, and profitability. You will advise the CEO on key operational insights as well as provide coaching to employees.

Responsibilities

  • Produce annual operation forecasting report and strategy
  • Oversee and evaluate day-to-day operations
  • Identify new market opportunities to accelerate growth
  • Present operational strategy recommendations to the CEO based on your market research
  • Kindly also help below credentials
  • Volume of manufacturing handled (in Mt)
  • Which all departments report directly to you
  • Any exposure of manufacturing/operational complexity exposure?
  • What exposure on Contractor Management
  • How many manpower handled in terms of plant operations.
  • Where all contractual or employees?
  • Can u help the complexity of projects executed under him in terms of manufacturing
  • If u can share your experience on working capacity enhancement or have worked to improve output tonnage, if yes then strategies adopted & what was the output in terms of P&L.
  • Does you have greenfield or brownfield expansions exposure/experience.

External:

Role purpose: To oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of an organization, ensuring that the company's operational activities align with its strategic goals and objectives. The COO reports to CEO and coordinate with the executive team to implement business strategies, streamline processes, and drive operational efficiency across all departments.

Key responsibilities and Deliverables / Outcomes:

a) Critical Competencies Required (Knowledge/Skill/Attitude)


• Strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.


• Examining and re-engineering operations and procedures. Formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.


• Financial planning and managing resources. Analyzing and interpreting financial data. Knowledge of communication and public relation techniques.


• Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.

b) General Tasks & Responsibilities


• Develop a strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.


• Oversee company operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.


• Promotes a culture that reflects the organization's values, encourages good performance, and rewards productivity.


• Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the company.


• Provides prompt, thorough, and accurate information to keep the board appropriately informed of the organization's financial position.


• Evaluate performance of executives for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining objectives.

c) Major Deliverables/Key Result Areas


• Creates annual operating plans that support strategic direction set by the board and correlates with annual operating budgets. Deliver objectives and target set by the board for short, medium & long term.

• Provide leadership to position the company at the forefront of the industry.


• Develop strategic alliances within the industry to progress upstream & downstream synergies and efficiencies.


• Develop and monitor strategies for ensuring the long-term financial viability of the organization.
