Cybersecurity Threat Analyst - Incident Response Lead

Our site in India is seeking a Lead Cyber Security Threat Analyst to join the team. The Lead Cyber Security Threat Analyst is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats and incidents. This position requires advanced expertise in analyzing, triaging, responding to, and resolving investigations and incidents. The analyst will utilize various commercial and open-source tools to investigate alerts, review log data, and conduct specialized queries to analyze events and execute response actions. Additionally, the role involves developing new detection tools and capabilities and leading Cyber Threat Intelligence and Threat Hunting activities.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with a 24x7 team of analysts and cybersecurity leadership to conduct threat detection and incident response activities.
• Coordinate cyber threat intelligence and hunting efforts.
• Oversee network, cloud, and AI security initiatives.
• Respond to and investigate cybersecurity incidents, including during off-hours.
• Provide on-call support for incident response as needed.
• Analyze incidents potentially involving ransomware, host compromise, account compromise, phishing, anomalous user behavior, third parties, and data leakage.
• Update and refine incident response procedures and develop playbooks.
• Develop countermeasures to address threats and vulnerabilities.
• Work with teams responsible for infrastructure, applications, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and application security.
• Document and communicate incident information from initial investigation through closure and post-incident review.
• Stay informed about emerging threats and share relevant knowledge to support improved incident response processes.
• Use and optimize security tools and technologies to minimize false positives and implement countermeasures.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts.

What We Seek:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant experience.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
• Good knowledge of attackers' methods of escalation; lateral movement; and tactics, techniques and procedures.
• Hands-on experience working with XDR/EDR technologies, SIEM/SOAR and network security tools.
• Good understanding of AI concepts and security threats pertaining to AI.
• Strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities.
• Capable of scripting in Python, Bash, JavaScript or PowerShell.
• Integrity, pride in work, and a drive for excellence.
• Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and wireless networking.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with non-technical users.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

• Strong experience with Microsoft XDR security technologies, Sentinel, and running KQL queries.
• Strong experience with incident response across AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• One or more of the following: GCIH, GCFA, GCFE, CISSP.
• Ability to automate and orchestrate complex security tasks.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Effectively manage and execute work assignments independently.
