Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Forensic Analyst to collect, analyze, and interpret physical or digital evidence to support criminal investigations and legal proceedings. The Forensic Analyst will use scientific methods and specialized techniques to uncover facts, maintain evidence integrity, and prepare detailed reports for law enforcement agencies or corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Evidence Collection & Preservation

  • Collect physical or digital evidence from crime scenes or relevant sources following strict protocols.
  • Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and chain of custody of evidence to maintain integrity.
  • Secure and store evidence safely to prevent contamination or loss.

Analysis & Examination

  • Conduct forensic analysis using laboratory techniques or digital forensic tools depending on specialization (e.g., DNA analysis, fingerprinting, cyber forensics).
  • Examine evidence to identify key facts, anomalies, or links to suspects.
  • Use software tools for data recovery, malware analysis, or forensic imaging in cyber investigations.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare detailed, accurate, and clear forensic reports explaining methods, findings, and conclusions.
  • Present evidence and findings in court or legal settings as expert witnesses if required.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of analyses, methodologies, and case progress.

Key Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of forensic techniques and scientific principles
  • Familiarity with forensic software and tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK, Autopsy for digital forensics)
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
