Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and onboarding new customers in the food, beverage, and retail sectors, as well as maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to drive sales. This role requires excellent communication skills in English , along with proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within the food or ingredients industry.

Key Responsibilities:

New Business Development:

  • Identify and onboard new institutional customers (ice cream manufacturers, confectioners, home bakers, etc.) and supermarkets.

  • Research and prospect potential leads across India and international markets.

  • Drive growth by increasing sales to new and existing clients, with a focus on natural vanilla products (beans, extracts, powders).

Client Management & Relationship Building:

  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with current customers, ensuring satisfaction and identifying new sales opportunities.

  • Follow up on leads and customer inquiries, providing timely and accurate information.

  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.

Market Expansion:

  • Explore new market opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate the Indian and international markets.

  • Onboard new supermarkets and retail chains to expand our presence and product visibility.

Communication & Reporting:

  • Engage in consistent communication with prospects and clients via email, phone, and face-to-face meetings, ensuring professionalism and clarity.

  • Prepare and present sales proposals, product details, and pricing.

  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasting, and performance reviews to the Head of Business Development.

Sales Strategy & Targets:

  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team to execute sales and promotional activities.

  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in the food ingredients, FMCG, or retail industry.

Language Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; spoken Hindi is highly preferred.

Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.

Sales Skills: Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software for managing leads and customer interactions.

Interpersonal Skills: High level of self-motivation, persistence, and a customer-centric approach to sales.

Travel Requirements: Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required for client meetings and trade shows.
