About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Test Automation Engineer to join our QA team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks and test scripts to ensure high-quality delivery of our software applications.

You will collaborate closely with developers, manual testers, DevOps, and product managers to define test strategies, execute test plans, and deliver high-quality, scalable automation solutions. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for web, mobile, and API testing.

Develop reusable and scalable automation scripts for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategy, scope, and acceptance criteria.

Integrate test suites into the CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing as part of the development lifecycle.

Perform root cause analysis of failed test cases and work closely with developers to resolve issues.

Maintain and manage test data and environments needed for automation testing.

Ensure traceability between test cases, requirements, and defects.

Continuously evaluate and improve test processes, tools, and automation strategies.

Document test scripts, execution results, and generate test reports for stakeholders.

Participate in code reviews for test scripts and collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Technical Skills

Languages & Frameworks: Java / Python / JavaScript, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG / JUnit / PyTest / Mocha

Automation Tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium (for mobile), REST Assured / Postman (API Testing)

CI/CD Integration: Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar

Version Control: Git, GitHub / Bitbucket

Build Tools: Maven, Gradle, NPM

Bug Tracking: Jira, Bugzilla

Test Management Tools: TestRail, Zephyr, qTest

Reporting Tools: Allure, Extent Reports, or similar

Basic DevOps: Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes (optional but good to have)

Cloud & Cross-browser Testing: BrowserStack, Sauce Labs (nice to have)

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in test automation and QA.

Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Solid programming skills to build reusable test scripts and automation frameworks.

Experience testing web applications, APIs, and mobile apps (iOS/Android).

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in fast-paced sprint cycles.

Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have (Optional Skills)

Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber / Behave

Knowledge of performance testing using JMeter, Gatling, or Locust

Familiarity with security testing basics (OWASP top 10, etc.)

Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)

Understanding of SQL and database testing concepts
