Technical Writer

Role & responsibilities

• Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including:
• User manuals
• API documentation
• Release notes
• Online help guides
• Technical specifications
• Work closely with engineers, product managers, and QA teams to gather and validate information.
• Edit, standardize, or revise material prepared by other team members or departments.
• Manage documentation projects and version control using tools like Git, Confluence, or similar platforms.
• Ensure documentation meets industry standards, compliance requirements, and is accessible to both technical and non-technical users.
• Continuously review and update documentation to reflect product updates, feedback, and best practices.
• Contribute to style guides and documentation standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 25 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a software or tech environment.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency in documentation tools such as Markdown, Microsoft Word, Confluence, MadCap Flare, or similar.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Notion).
• Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts clearly and simply.
