About the job

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation QA Engineer with a strong background in testing banking systems and financial applications. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing robust automated testing frameworks to ensure the performance, security, and reliability of our banking software solutions.

As our Quality Assurance Engineer, you will have these main objectives:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and backend banking applications.
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and manual testers to understand requirements and define the test automation strategy.
  • Execute automated test suites, analyse test results, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
  • Identify, log, and track defects; work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards in all testing activities.
  • Participate in code reviews, test plan reviews, and contribute to best practices in QA processes.

You will be a good fit if you:

  • Have 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing, ideally in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Are proficient in Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar automation tools.
  • Have strong programming/scripting experience in Java.
  • Have experience with REST API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
  • Are familiar with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems like Git.
  • Have knowledge of banking workflows, payment systems, or core banking platforms (e.g., Temenos, Finacle, Flexcube) — this is a strong advantage.
  • Understand SDLC, STLC, and agile methodologies.
  • Have experience with performance and/or security testing (bonus).
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
