We are seeking a skilled and curious Prompt Engineer to join our team and shape how AI is applied across our products and services.

Job Overview

As a Prompt Engineer, you will work with large language models (such as GPT-4, Claude, and open-source LLMs) to design, test, and refine prompts that drive optimal performance for a variety of tasks. Your role bridges the gap between human intent and machine output, helping build robust AI systems that deliver accurate, relevant, and safe responses.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and iterate on effective prompts to optimize LLM performance for specific use cases (e.g., summarization, classification, Q&A, generation, translation).

Conduct prompt experimentation and A/B testing to improve output quality, accuracy, and efficiency.

Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, engineers, and designers to integrate LLMs into applications and workflows.

Maintain prompt libraries and documentation to ensure reproducibility and scalability.

Stay up to date on the latest research, model capabilities, and prompting techniques (e.g., zero-shot, few-shot, chain-of-thought, tool usage).

Contribute to prompt evaluation frameworks, metrics development, and fine-tuning strategies if applicable.

Identify and mitigate risks such as bias, hallucinations, or unsafe outputs in AI responses.

Requirements

Must-Have:

Strong understanding of LLMs and prompt engineering techniques (zero-shot, few-shot, CoT, etc.).

Experience working with GPT-3.5/4, Claude, PaLM, or other generative AI models.

Background in computer science, data science, linguistics, NLP, or related field.

Proficiency in Python and use of APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, HuggingFace).

Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to document and explain complex prompt strategies.

Nice-to-Have:

Experience with prompt chaining, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or fine-tuning models.

Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) and embedding models.

Experience in UX writing, creative writing, or linguistics.

Prior work in AI safety, alignment, or responsible AI practices.
