Tax & Compliance Deputy Manager

Eligibility: CA 2025 Pass-Outs only eligible (with complete GST exposure during Articleship)

Role Overview

The Tax & Compliance Deputy Manager will play a key role in managing and ensuring compliance across Titans indirect tax landscape. This position is ideal for sharp, detail-oriented and motivated 2025 CA pass-outs who have hands-on exposure to GST during their Articleship and are keen to build expertise in Indirect Taxation.

The role demands strong analytical skills, a sound understanding of GST laws, and the ability to coordinate seamlessly with internal teams, consultants, and regulatory authorities. You will contribute to strengthening Titans tax governance, optimising tax positions, and supporting business processes while ensuring 100% statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Indirect Tax Administration & Compliance

  • Execute and oversee all indirect tax-related processes for allocated business units.
  • Ensure full compliance with GST laws and relevant pre-GST regulations wherever required.
  • Prepare and review statutory filings, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C.
  • Maintain accurate and organised documentation for all indirect tax compliance activities.

2. Tax Calculations & Statutory Filings

  • Prepare monthly and annual tax calculations, estimates, and workings with precision.
  • Ensure timely, error-free filing of GST returns and adherence to tax timelines to mitigate compliance risks.
  • Assist in responding to notices and queries from tax authorities.

3. ITC Reconciliation & Optimisation

  • Perform regular and comprehensive Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliations for vendors and internal teams.
  • Identify mismatches, follow up on resolutions, and ensure accurate reflection of credits.
  • Work towards optimising ITC utilisation through proactive analysis and process enhancements.

4. Process & System Improvement

  • Drive ongoing improvements in GST-related processes, controls, and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of enhancements.
  • Continuously update knowledge on GST amendments, circulars, notifications, and industry trends.

5. Audit & Assessment Support

  • Assist in statutory, internal, and departmental GST audits by preparing required data sets.
  • Coordinate with auditors and consultants to ensure smooth audit closure.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and support assessments as needed.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • CA – 2025 pass-out with a strong academic foundation.
  • Hands-on experience in GST compliance and filings during Articleship is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel, GST portals, and basic ERP systems (SAP exposure is a plus).
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and handle deadlines with accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholder management.
