About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our offshore team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in distributed systems, authentication mechanisms, API development, and database design. This role will be critical in designing and optimizing scalable, secure, and high-performing backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement distributed systems architecture to support large-scale applications.
  • Manage session handling and state management across distributed environments.
  • Develop and maintain authentication/authorization systems (OAuth, JWT).
  • Build, debug, and optimize RESTful APIs for scalability and performance.
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to design efficient data storage solutions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
  • Collaborate with front-end, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver robust solutions.

Must-Have Skills

  • Proven expertise in distributed systems architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of session management and state handling.
  • Hands-on experience with authentication/authorization systems (OAuth, JWT).
  • Proficiency in RESTful API design and debugging.
  • Solid background with SQL and NoSQL database systems.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda).
  • Experience with Redis or Memcached for caching.
  • Knowledge of message queuing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
  • Understanding of microservices architecture.
