Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune for a Purchasing Manager. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing purchasing processes, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely procurement of high-quality materials. Day-to-day tasks include developing and implementing purchasing strategies, monitoring inventory levels, maintaining supplier relationships, analyzing market trends, and ensuring cost efficiency while adhering to organizational and industry standards. Collaboration across multiple internal departments will also be key to the successful execution of this role.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, including expertise in supplier sourcing and contract negotiation
  • Strong skills in Budget Control, Cost Analysis, and Inventory Management
  • Knowledge of Market Trend Analysis and Vendor Performance Evaluation
  • Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office applications
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field
  • Experience working in industries such as Automotive, Railways, Defence, or CleanTech is an advantage
  • Proven track record of managing procurement in a manufacturing or technical environment
