  • JOB ROLE:
  • Greet and guide patients to the consulting room.
  • Assist in preparing patients for examination.
  • Ensure smooth patient flow by coordinating the appointment schedule.
  • Collect patient history, if necessary, and ensure that medical records are up-to-date and ready for the doctor's review.
  • Assist the doctors during diagnostic tests and minor procedures, handing instruments and managing supplies as needed.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments between patients, following infection control protocols.
  • Manage and update patient files and medical records in both paper and electronic systems.
  • Assist in documenting the doctor's notes during consultations.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and provide patients with necessary information about further tests or medications.
  • Coordinate with other departments as needed.
  • Educate patients on procedures, medications as instructed by the doctor.
  • Answer patients' queries and ensure they understand the next steps for their care.
  • Provide support for patients who may have anxiety or difficulty understanding the examination process.
  • Ensure that the consulting room is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or shortages to the appropriate personnel.
  • Dispose of biohazardous waste and manage clinical supplies, following safety regulations.
  • Assist with patient paperwork and instructions.
  • Coordinate with billing departments if necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the doctor or clinic management.
