Job Description

To make electrical panel designs by generating detailed drawings like single-line diagrams, schematics, and panel layouts using software such as AutoCAD Electrical. Selecting appropriate components, preparing technical documentation like Bills of Materials (BOM), and ensuring designs comply with project specifications and safety standards will be required. The engineer is expected to collaborate with production, procurement, and other teams to finalize and implement designs.

Responsibilities

·      Design and documentation: Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and panel layouts using CAD software.

·      Component selection: Choose appropriate electrical components such as circuit breakers, relays, and PLCs based on load and functional requirements.

·      Technical writing: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOM), terminal and cable schedules, and component layout drawings. Standardization and compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to project specifications and relevant standards

·      Collaboration and support: Work with production, procurement, and project teams, and provide technical support during the installation and commissioning phases.

·      Design interpretation and revision: Interpret client-provided specifications and revise drawings based on feedback or client changes, maintaining version control.

Qualifications:

Education:
A degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Experience:
2 years of Experience in electrical panel and cable layout design is necessary.

Software proficiency:
Must be proficient in CAD software, especially AutoCAD Electrical.

Technical knowledge:
Strong understanding of electrical principles, power systems, control circuits, and industry standards.

PLC/HMI knowledge:
Familiarity with integrating Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) is required.
