Job Title: Fitter / Diesel Mechanical Engineer– Compressor Industry

Department: Production / Maintenance

Location: Ahmadabad

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor / Production Manager

Job Summary:

Responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing compressor systems and associated mechanical components. The role involves hands-on fitting, alignment, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical parts to ensure smooth and reliable compressor operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and fit compressor components (cylinders, pistons, valves, crankcases, etc.) as per engineering drawings and tolerances.

Perform alignment, coupling, and balancing of rotating parts.

Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of compressor systems.

Inspect and replace faulty parts and ensure equipment is operating efficiently.

Work with maintenance engineers to diagnose mechanical faults.

Ensure proper lubrication and cleaning of machines.

Follow all safety protocols and maintain housekeeping in the work area.

Support installation and commissioning activities at customer sites (if required).

Skills & Qualifications:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Engineering.

2–5 years of experience in compressor assembly, maintenance, or similar heavy machinery.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems and safety standards.
