Role Summary: As a Manager in Analytics focusing on Warranty, you will lead comprehensive analytical initiatives to improve warranty processes and performance within Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited. The role involves deep data dive into warranty claims, patterns, and financial impacts to drive informed decision-making and operational enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- In-depth Data Analysis: Analyze extensive datasets encompassing warranty claims, product performance, and customer feedback to identify trends, root causes of failures, and opportunities for reduction of warranty costs.
- Warranty Performance Evaluation: Execute detailed evaluations and audits of warranty cases, developing hypotheses and actionable insights to mitigate recurrent issues and enhance product reliability.
- Financial Forecasting & Estimates: Develop and maintain precise cost estimation models related to warranty claims and associated expenditures. Monitor deviations and provide forecasts to support budget planning.
- Quarterly & Ad-Hoc Reporting: Compile and deliver comprehensive reports including Return Goods Authorization (RGA) metrics and other critical KPIs to stakeholders across the organisation.
- MIS and Dashboard Development: Design, implement, and manage Management Information Systems and real-time dashboards that offer transparent visibility into warranty metrics and other analytical parameters for leadership review.
- Cross-Functional Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with departments such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure alignment on process improvements and issue resolution.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to refine warranty-related processes leveraging data-driven insights to improve efficiency and reduce operational bottlenecks.
- Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide team members fostering an environment of analytical rigor and continuous learning and improvement within the Analytics function.
This position plays a critical role in driving warranty analytics that influence product quality, customer satisfaction, and cost management strategies.
ExperienceExperience Required:
- Extensive experience spanning 15 to 20 years within the automotive industry, specifically in companies recognised for manufacturing high-quality four-wheeler vehicles.
- Proven track record of handling warranty analytics, data management, and quality systems associated with premium and best-in-class automotive products.
- Demonstrated ability in managing large datasets, developing actionable insights, and influencing cross-functional teams in complex manufacturing or automotive environments.
- Proficiency in advanced data analysis techniques and software tools relevant to warranty and quality analytics.
- Experience in leadership roles driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
Preferred Industry Background:
- Automotive manufacturing with a focus on four-wheeler vehicles.
- Experience in warranty management or quality analytics within the automotive sector is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and service operations in an automotive environment.
- Exposure to industrial analytics, product lifecycle management, and warranty cost control practices within automotive or related heavy machinery sectors.
Educational Qualifications and Technical Skills:
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Production Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Solid grounding in engineering principles coupled with analytical and quantitative skills.
- Advanced skills in data analytics tools and software such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to develop dashboards and MIS reports.
- Strong proficiency in statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and financial forecasting related to warranty operations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex data insights to diverse stakeholder groups effectively.
