One of our bespoke projects, Hilldaari is an initiative supported by Nestle India, implemented by PLAN, and technically supported by RECITY, we are driving collective change and reimagining waste management to reduce carbon emissions across the cities. )

Role Overview :
The Project lead will play a crucial role in government liaison, stakeholder management and project oversight while ensuring successful implementation of initiatives related to social and financial inclusion with the sanitation workers in Ahmedabad.

Core Responsibilities :

Lead planning, execution and monitoring of the project initiatives to adhere to the timelines
• Coordination and liaison with the municipal corporation for project implementation
• Governance, stakeholder alignment, and relationship management
• Communication with district administration authorities
• Collaboration with Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs)
• Training and capacity building for waste management professionals
• Planning and implementation of IEC (Information, Education, Communication) activities
• Ensuring stakeholder alignment and engagement
• Troubleshooting and resolving community-level issues
• Strategic resource allocation and utilization
• Facilitating inter-departmental coordination and obtaining necessary approvals
• Monitoring, evaluation, and performance tracking
• Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external such as HQ team, funder, beneficiaries and community members
• Oversee project team by providing them with guidance, support and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards
• Prepare comprehensive reports from ground on implementation aspects such as activities status, milestones achieved, challenges faces and mitigation practices
• Collect and store data to ensure all evidences are kept safely

Education and Experience:
Masters' degree in related field
• 5+ years of experience of working with women/sanitation workers/ SHGs, in government liaising, stakeholder management.
• Very good communication, presentation and facilitation skills
• Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
• Self - motivated, disciplined, organized, proactive and energetic
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to navigate work effectively within government structures
• Good inter-personal skills
