The Playgroup Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children (typically ages 2–4). The teacher will facilitate early childhood learning through play-based activities, songs, stories, and interactive experiences, while also supporting children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and early learning.
  • Foster a warm, caring, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Encourage the development of basic skills such as listening, speaking, motor skills, and social interaction.
  • Introduce children to routines and good habits (toilet training, hygiene, sharing, tidiness, etc.).
  • Use storytelling, rhymes, songs, art, and play to enhance language and cognitive skills.
  • Observe, assess, and document children's progress and behavior.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child's development, needs, and achievements.
  • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization of the classroom and play areas.
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers and staff to maintain smooth functioning of the playgroup.
  • Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development sessions as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education / Montessori Training (preferred).
  • Previous experience working with young children in a preschool/playgroup setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
  • Creativity in designing engaging activities and lessons.
  • Ability to manage a classroom with energy, enthusiasm, and care.

Work Conditions:

  • Indoor and outdoor classroom/playground settings.
  • Requires lifting, bending, and actively engaging with children.
  • Flexible to participate in school events, celebrations, and parent meetings.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Pay: ₹10, ₹18,000.00 per month
