As a Staff Software Engineer (Backend) at Qapita, you will lead the design and implementation of complex software systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our platform is scalable, reliable, and secure. Your proven experience in leading software development projects and teams will be instrumental in the successful delivery of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and Developer: Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust, scalable, and secure backend systems using C# and ASP. NET, MongoDB, Postgres, and AWS services.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and design are followed.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components. Act as a liaison between the engineering team and other stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication within the team and with other departments.
  • Developer Experience (DevEx): Champion initiatives to streamline development workflows, enhance tooling, and improve code quality, thereby boosting productivity and satisfaction among developers.
  • Project Leadership: Contribute to project planning, including task estimation and risk assessment. Innovation: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and drive innovation within the team. Identify technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
  • Testing and Debugging: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Ensure thorough testing and debugging of software before release.
  • System Performance: Monitor and improve system performance and reliability. Propose and implement improvements to existing systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Qualifications Experience: 10-14 years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on C# and ASP. NET, MongoDB, Postgres, and AWS services. Proven experience in leading software development projects and teams.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of backend technologies and architecture patterns such as DDD, CQRS, Event Sourcing, and Clean Architecture. Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. Familiarity with automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of leading projects and mentoring team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
