Role & responsibilities
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Data Testing Engineer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, Pandas, REST API and testing, with a solid understanding of data validation, data processing. Knowledge of MongoDB is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases for data validation and transformation processes.
- Validate data integrity across various sources including APIs, databases.
- Collaborate with data engineers and developers to understand data flows and ensure quality across the pipeline.
- Develop Python scripts using Pandas for data comparison, profiling, and anomaly detection.
- Test data against RESTful APIs for correctness, performance, and reliability.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Work with MongoDB for data storage, retrieval and intermediate queries.
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Python and Pandas for data manipulation and testing.
- Hands-on experience using tools like Postman, Pytest, or similar.
- Experience with data validation, data profiling, and data quality frameworks.
- Familiarity with MongoDB and NoSQL data models is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
