Role & responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Python frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend developers, product managers, data scientists) to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented Python code.
  • Implement security protocols and ensure API compliance with industry standards.
  • Integrate APIs with various data storage solutions (relational and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL).
  • Optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of APIs to ensure functionality and stability.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Stay updated with the latest Python libraries, frameworks, and best practices in API development.
  • Proficiency in Python programming language.
  • Experience with Python web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred candidate profile

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud),
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with API management tools,
  • Formal AWS Training or AWS Certification, AWS Relational Database Systems, NoSQL, memory processing , serverless designs, orchestration and data streaming-Kafka/Kinesis
  • Experience in cloud provisioning concepts and deployment procedure
