FPGA

for our cutting-edge FSO communication programs.

FPGA

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and integrate RTL FPGA hardware for free-space laser/optical communication applications.
• Develop custom FPGA IP blocks and PS code for target hardware (e.g., Zynq SoCs).
• Write test benches and validate FPGA hardware with system peripherals.
• Integrate designs on FPGA/SoC platforms and perform hardware bring-up.
• Execute digital signal processing of sensor data.
• Participate in component selection and trade-off analysis.
• Document firmware configurations and maintain version control.

Qualifications

• M. Tech, PhD, or Postdoctoral experience in: Optics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Quantum Optics, Photonics, Mechanical Engineering, or Robotics Engineering.
• Proficiency in VHDL/Verilog, High-Level Synthesis (HLS), and FPGA simulation.
• Experience with SoCs, embedded system design, and protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, and Ethernet.
• Strong skills in C/C++, Python, and Tcl.
• Comfortable with Linux (Debian) and Git.

Optics

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance optical communication links (ground-to-ground, ground-to-air, ground-to-space).
• Plan, set up, and execute experimental missions for trials, demonstrations, and customer collaborations.
• Innovate in optical modulation/demodulation, WDM, adaptive optics, telescope design, and laser electronics.
• Identify and manage suppliers for optical and opto-electronic components.
• Conduct performance testing, characterization, and validation of optical subsystems under varying environmental conditions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with electronics, mechanical, and software teams for system integration.

Qualifications

• M. Tech, PhD, or Postdoctoral experience in: Optics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Quantum Optics, Photonics, Mechanical Engineering, or Robotics Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in FSO communication link design, testing, and validation.
• Familiarity with optical bench setups, alignment, and beam quality measurement.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for optical systems.

Control Engineering

Responsibilities

• Develop ultra-low-latency, real-time control software for optical imaging, beam steering, and tracking.
• Design and implement nested closed-loop control systems in C for high-precision motion and laser subsystems.
• Work on full life cycle development: architecture, algorithm design, integration, validation, and release.
• Conduct lab-based experiments, instrumentation setup, and data acquisition for performance tuning.
• Optimize control loops for latency, robustness, and stability.
• Collaborate closely with FPGA, optical, mechanical, and electronics teams to ensure system-level performance.

Qualifications

• M. Tech, PhD, or Postdoctoral experience in: Optics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Quantum Optics, Photonics, Mechanical Engineering, or Robotics Engineering.
• Strong C/C++ development skills for real-time embedded systems.
• Proven experience designing and tuning high-speed control loops.
• Solid foundation in DSP concepts and digital filter implementation.
• Experience with RTOS and microcontroller-based platforms.
• Proficiency with Unix/Linux and scripting tools.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual compensation for this role ranges from
₹10-18 lakhs
, determined based on qualifications & experience.
