Sheet Metal Bending Machine Operator

Role Overview:
The Sheet Metal Bending Machine Operator is responsible for operating, setting, and maintaining CNC/NC bending machines (Press Brake) to form sheet-metal components as per drawings and quality standards. The role requires accuracy, machine knowledge, safety awareness, and understanding of fabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities:Machine Operation & Setup
- Operate CNC/NC Press Brake / Sheet Metal Bending Machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, bend sequences, and technical specifications.
- Set tools, dies, punches, and bending programs as per job requirements.
- Adjust machine parameters (pressure, depth, angle) for accurate bends.
- Perform trial bending and verify first-piece approval.
Production & Quality
- Ensure sheet-metal parts match dimensional tolerances and finish requirements.
- Use measuring tools such as Vernier Caliper, Angle Meter, Tape, and Height Gauge.
- Minimize wastage of material with proper bend planning.
- Maintain the production target and output quality.
Maintenance & Safety
- Perform daily machine checks and basic preventive maintenance.
- Report machine issues to supervisors and maintenance teams immediately.
- Follow workplace safety standards, PPE usage, and machine operation protocols.
Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain daily production records, job sheets, and machine logs.
- Coordinate with the production supervisor, QC, cutting team, and store team.
- Ensure proper tagging, stacking, and handling of finished parts.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15, ₹22,000.00 per month
