Role & responsibilities :-

Provide emotional, psychological, and informational support to patients families in the ICU.
Explain ICU procedures, patient conditions, and treatment plans as communicated by the medical team.
Facilitate effective communication between doctors, nurses, and patient relatives.
Offer counselling to help families cope with stress, fear, grief, and uncertainty.
Educate families on post-ICU care and recovery processes when patients are discharged or transferred.
Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation of counselling sessions.
Assist in managing patient expectations and improving family satisfaction.
Identify and escalate cases requiring psychiatric or specialized psychological intervention.

Preferred candidate profile :-

Bachelors or Masters degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or related field. Mostly preferable MSW.
Certification or training in Clinical / Health Counselling preferred.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in healthcare counselling or patient relations.
Ready to work in Morning and evening shift.
